Helping people out of the cycle of poverty is one of the primary objectives of Gospel Fellowship. Poverty once started, is likely to continue without outside intervention. Therefore, the small business development programme was instituted. This programme offers poverty stricken individuals an opportunity to start their own small business by providing startup funds. Participates must return the interest-free funds to GFI over a three-year term which is then used to fund another small business venture. Meet the first fund recipient pictured below. Dorcas, a Peniel church member was able to start a business raising chickens to sell eggs and roosters.
